The Woodlands, Texas (July 2018) – CoVantage Credit Union, headquartered in Antigo, WI, is in search of a motivated, dedicated executive to join their team as Chief Risk Officer.

Reporting directly to the President/CEO, this role will serve as in-house legal counsel. Areas of responsibility include: compliance (BSA/OFAC/AML), fraud, member solutions, commercial lending and operations, vendor management, and physical security.  Other duties include: maintaining risk policies and controls while balancing the need to achieve organizational objectives and effectively serving the membership, contributing to the planning and executing of strategic initiatives, and providing periodic reports to the Board of Directors. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills as well as exhibit strong leadership, interpersonal, and supervisory skills. A Juris Doctorate with current license to practice is required; an emphasis in contract law is desired, but not required. A minimum of three years’ experience practicing law and working with a client base subject to government regulation and oversight is required; a knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements associated with finance, credit union, or banking industry is desired.
