East Idaho CU Announces New CFO

IDAHO FALLS, IDAHO – East Idaho Credit Union is pleased to announce the selection of Chris Cardwell as the credit union’s new Chief Financial Officer effective May 12, 2014.

“Chris brings extensive leadership, risk management and accounting experience to the credit union and we are excited to have him as our CFO and to see what the future holds for our membership,” said Brad Bauges, President/CEO.

Chris has over 17 years’ experience as a Chief Financial Officer. He spent the last thirteen years with Rivermark Community Credit Union, a $570 million dollar credit union in Beaverton, OR and previously served as the Chief Financial Officer at Lacamas Community Credit Union in Camas, WA. Chris was instrumental in implementing strategic growth plans and managing balance sheet risk for the credit union. He worked to increase efficiency and productivity and served as the ALCO Chair, successfully reducing expenses and maximizing profitability. Chris holds a B.A. Accounting degree from Portland State University.

“I am very pleased to bring someone of Chris’s caliber onboard. His knowledge of the financial services marketplace should prove invaluable as we continue our plans to reach out and serve more East Idaho residents,” said Bauges.
