Position Summary

Rocky Mountain Credit Union is seeking an innovative and strategic President/Chief Executive Officer to lead overall operations and ensure the organization’s ongoing financial strength and stability. Working closely with the Board, the successful candidate will provide strong leadership to the Credit Union by developing and executing short- and long-term strategies, plans, and policies that prioritize the best interests of its members. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational leadership skills, supported by a high level of integrity and a deep understanding of the financial services industry. A commitment to delivering outstanding member service is essential. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and have a minimum of 10 years of executive leadership experience in the credit union or banking sector. Professional designations such as CCUE, CPA, or CMA are considered an asset.

Rocky Mountain Credit Union has provided financial services to its members since 1940. Starting out as State Capital Employees Credit Union with 47 members, the Credit Union rebranded as Rocky Mountain Credit Union in 1999 and grew to $424 Million in assets. From humble beginnings, offering only share/savings accounts, Rocky Mountain Credit Union today offers its members a full suite of financial services, with six branches located in Helena, Bozeman, Belgrade, and Butte. Membership is open to State of Montana Employees, Montana State University Alumni, employees of select businesses, relatives of current members, as well as anyone who lives, works, or worships in Broadwater, Deer Lodge, Gallatin, Jefferson, Lewis and Clark, Park, Powell, Missoula, Silver Bow, Madison, or Cascade counties.
