LEXINGTON PARK, MD – (July 2019) The $518 million Cedar Point Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the selection of Babar Khawaja as the credit union’s new Chief Lending Officer.

Khawaja has extensive experience in lending and comes to Cedar Point Federal Credit Union from ESL Federal Credit Union of Rochester, New York where as Consumer Lending Manager Khawaja led all aspects of the indirect, home equity, and direct loan programs. Khawaja also spent time at Nusenda Credit Union as Indirect Lending Manager prior to joining ESL Federal Credit Union. In addition to his work at credit unions, Khawaja spent time at a mortgage company and as a finance manager. Khawaja holds a master’s degree in finance and a bachelor’s of science in industrial engineering.
