Vice President of Marketing
Position Summary
United Heritage Credit Union is seeking a Vice President (VP) of Marketing. This strategic leadership role is responsible for guiding the Credit Union’s Marketing, Media Relations, and Communications initiatives. This position sets the vision and direction for both short- and long-term marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with the Credit Union’s mission, vision, and values. Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external partners, the VP of Marketing drives member acquisition and retention through comprehensive, data-informed marketing strategies. The role leverages analytics and market research to better understand member behavior, optimize campaign performance, and maximize return on investment. This position also oversees digital marketing efforts, including social media email campaigns, and establishes key performance indicators to measure success, regularly reporting results and recommending strategic adjustments. A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field, with 10 years of marketing-related experience and 5 years of management experience is required.

United Heritage Credit Union opened its doors in 1957 as Military Federal Credit Union, offering military personnel savings and loan services. In 1969, their name changed to Bergstrom Federal Credit Union, and they expanded their service offerings and increased their overall membership base. By 1993, the Credit Union was given the opportunity to expand their membership base to include hospitals and hospital affiliates, along with select employer groups, allowing the credit union to grow into United Heritage. Changing from a federal charter to a state charter in 1997, they are now open to the Central Texas, Austin, and Tyler communities, with assets over $1.7 billion and serving over 82,000 members, United Heritage is committed to members’ success.
