The two-day dynamic curriculum is designed to be a collaborative and engaging learning environment. Participants benefit from exposure to D. Hilton’s cutting-edge research, real-world best practices, and an intensive array of networking discussions.
This year Volunteer Excellence takes front and center stage. The program spotlights current issues such as board compensation, volunteer succession planning, and board governance issues. Surprising new findings from D. Hilton’s decade-long research initiative on retention and retirement issues will debut.

Hilton, it’s an excellent opportunity to not only meet some of our industry’s leading HR experts but also some of the most highly respected volunteers and executives managing high performing credit unions.
Certified HR professionals will be eligible to earn up to 12 hours of continuing education credit from SHRM, HRCI and WorldatWork.

The Westin is located in a walkable dining and shopping district. The hotel also has restaurants and a Starbucks located on the premises.
The Woodlands is a major suburb of Houston, Texas, which has two major airports in proximity:

  • Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH, for United and other air carriers), about 25-30 minutes from The Woodlands
  • Houston Hobby Airport (HOU, Southwest Airlines), about an hour from The Woodlands


D. Hilton recommends using a taxi, airport shuttle, or ride-sharing service to get to The Westin hotel in lieu of renting a vehicle, unless you intend to lengthen your stay in the area beyond the Symposium dates. Reduced parking rates are available for those attendees who drive.
