Section 705 Federal Credit Union Announces New President/Chief Executive Officer

Lafayette, LA – (February 2020) Section 705 Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the selection of Melanie Riedl as the credit union’s new President/Chief Executive Officer.

We feel confident that Melanie is truly the right fit for Section 705 Federal Credit Union, and we are excited for the future of our credit union under Melanie’s leadership,” said Dennis Marks, Chairman of the Board of Directors. Marks also commended retiring CEO, Anna Trahan Suire, for her service to Section 705 Federal Credit Union, “We sincerely appreciate her leadership and dedication over the past 30 years and wish her the very best in her upcoming retirement.”

 

Melanie comes to Section 705 with over twelve years in the credit union industry. She joins Section 705 from University of Louisiana Federal Credit Union in Lafayette, Louisiana where she held the position of Vice President of Development and Strategic Initiatives. Prior to her time as the Vice President, Melanie held multiple positions at UL Credit Union including Business Development Manager and Marketing Manager and Compliance Officer. In addition to her work at credit unions, Melanie served as the Marketing Director for Midsouth Bank. Melanie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from the University of Louisiana in Lafayette, Louisiana.
