Exciting Opportunity for a Real Estate Underwriting Manager To Join Team at Wescom Credit Union

The Woodlands, Texas (January, 2017) – Wescom Credit Union, headquartered in Anaheim Hills, California, has enlisted the Executive Recruiting Services of D. Hilton Associates in their search for a Real Estate Underwriting Manager.
 
Reporting to the Director, Real Estate Loan Operations, this position is responsible for engaging a high performing, talented and diverse team to enable functional group efficiencies, service excellence, credit effectiveness, and a positive Member experience. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and analytical skills to guide real estate lending application processing, underwriting policies and procedures, and products. This individual will be responsible for leading and inspiring the underwriting team, setting and monitoring goals for the lending staff, managing risk in accordance with Credit Union credit and risk tolerance guidelines, and develop and strengthen relationships within all channels. The ideal candidate will be familiar with a wide variety of real estate lending products, risk based lending, and loan automation. High school diploma is required, BA/BS degree in a related field is preferred. A minimum of ten years’ mortgage underwriting experience as well as ten plus years’ experience managing a staff of ten or more underwriters is preferred. Candidates must also possess the Staff Appraisal Reviewer Certificate from the Veterans Administration.
