CFCU Community Credit Union Announces New VP of Consumer Lending

Ithaca, New York – CFCU Community Credit Union is pleased to announce the selection of Mark Hillegas as the credit union’s new Vice President of Consumer Lending.

“Mark has extensive experience in the consumer lending environment and will bring considerable expertise to our lending practice. We are looking forward to having him join our team and lead efforts to provide our members with competitive loan products,” said CFCU Community’s President/CEO Lisa Whitaker. Mark most recently served as Vice President of Lending at Horizons Federal Credit Union in Binghamton, New York where he oversaw lending and collections. During his 15 years at Horizons Federal Credit Union, Mark was responsible for implementing a risk-based lending program, development of a successful indirect lending program, and ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements. Prior to Horizons Federal Credit Union, Mark served as a Mortgage Consultant at BSB Bank & Trust and a loan officer at GHS Federal Credit Union. Mark has a bachelor’s degree in Business Science from Binghamton University.

When asked about his new position at CFCU Community Credit Union, Mark said, “I am excited for this opportunity at CFCU Community Credit Union. The Credit Union has a great reputation for serving the community and I’m looking forward to being a part of that endeavor through their consumer lending program.”
