CFCU Community Credit Union Announces New Vice President of Human Resources

Ithaca, New York (June 24, 2015) – CFCU Community Credit Union is pleased to announce the selection of Paul Cognetta as the credit union’s new Vice President of Human Resources.

“The addition of Paul to our team is something we are extremely excited about at CFCU,” said Bill Crane, Chief Administration Officer/General Counsel. “Paul’s wealth of experience and impressive list of accomplishments throughout his professional career make him not only the ideal candidate, but also an addition to our team that we feel genuinely lucky to have joining us.”

Paul brings almost 20 years of experience in human resources with him to CFCU. He has spent the last 15 years with The Ayco Company L.P., a subsidiary of Goldman Sachs, where he began his service as Manager, Human Resources, progressed to Director, Human Resources and was eventually made Vice President, Human Resources, a position that he has held for the last eight years. Paul was responsible for directing many areas of human resources and aligning initiatives to corporate strategies. While working for The Ayco Company L.P., Paul redesigned the benefits program to offer an increasingly comprehensive package and simultaneously reduced costs, as evidenced by the substantial savings that was recorded in the first year. Prior to his time with The Ayco Company, Paul served as Director of Human Resources and Training for Triangle Building Supply in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Paul has a Bachelor’s of Science in Marketing and an MBA with a Human Resources concentration. He has received numerous awards and honors including but not limited to; recognition from the American Red Cross for the Monetary Company Achievement Award and recognition by Goldman Sachs for the Ayco Business Continuity Planning.
