Cascade Community Credit Union Announces New CEO

ROSEBURG, OREGON – Cascade Community Credit Union (CCCU) is pleased to announce the selection of Robert “Bob” Dempsey as the credit union’s new Chief Executive Officer.

Bob has spent the last 11 years as the President/CEO of EWEB Employees Federal Credit Union. During his tenure, Bob was instrumental in the development of the staff, where he mentored and guided them in new ways to increase the quality of their member service, loan portfolio and deposit relationships. Bob also provided guidance to several other credit unions in asset and liability management (ALM), risk management, and investment practices. Bob established the Roberta Nelson Foundation to provide scholarships to members. Prior to his time at EWEB Employees Federal Credit Union, Bob served as the Vice President/Regional Manager for Sterling Savings Bank and the Chief Financial Officer for Farmers Mutual Telephone Company. Bob also spent 18 years with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation as the Senior Liquidator in Charge.

“Bob has a great deal of financial and business knowledge and we have the upmost confidence that he will bring a successful future to CCCU,” said Chris Spens, Chairman of the Board of Directors. “Bob has many great ideas for continuing the rich history of CCCU and under his leadership we foresee great success and we will continue to meet and exceed the needs of our membership.”

When asked about his new position at CCCU, Bob stated, “It is an honor to accept the role of Chief Executive Officer for Cascade Community Credit Union. I am eager to begin my service to the credit union and the Roseburg Community. CCCU has such a rich and unique history and I look forward to continue that legacy.”
