The Woodlands, Texas (October 2018) – Cardinal Credit Union, headquartered in Mentor, OH, is in search of a visionary and strategic Chief Lending Officer to oversee and monitor the Lending function, guide staff with loan growth, while delivering outstanding service to members.

The ideal candidate will stay well-informed with trends and changes within the industry and participate in strategic planning while ensuring all loan programs are used efficiently to assist with the goals of the credit union. Reporting to the CEO, this executive will communicate directions clearly and assist with employee development and growth.  This position requires strong collaboration with multiple departments and staff, and being able to establish good relationships with clients and vendors.  The ideal candidate must have robust interpersonal and management skills, as well as demonstrate excellent communication and diplomacy skills. A Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of seven years of progressive lending experience in all areas of lending (consumer, VISA, mortgage, and indirect) is required.  Must have strong supervisory skills and be able to successfully perform in a multi-task environment.
