Company Profile
Wright-Patt Credit Union came to be in the early 1930’s, when workers at Wright Field in Dayton Ohio decided to chip in 25¢ a week to help an ailing co-worker and his struggling family. Recognizing a great idea, they later took a quarter each payday to create a fund for fellow workers who might also one day need help. It was called “The Sunshine Fund.” It was this shoebox of money that evolved to become today’s Wright-Patt Credit Union. Today, WPCU offers Member Center locations in Southwest and Central Ohio, 40,000+ of lower-to-no-fee ATMs, thousands of Shared Branching locations nationwide, and an award-winning mobile app, to give their members all the conveniences they could expect from a traditional bank.
