Position Summary
Wildfire Credit Union’s Board of Directors seeks CEO candidates with a portfolio of strengths:

- Experienced: demonstrates broad success in credit union or retail banking executive roles.
Competencies and education requirement: Excellent business and financial acumen, goal-oriented on behalf of membership, strong communication skills and team-building expertise. Minimum of 10 years in credit unions or retail banking and a bachelor’s degree are required. Advanced degree preferred.

Wildfire Credit Union is headquartered in Saginaw, Michigan with full-service branches in Midland, Saginaw, and Bay City. The credit union has $1 billion in assets, has more than 47,000 members and has a state-wide charter. Wildfire, formerly Communications Family Credit Union (re-branded in 2009), was established in 1937 to serve telephone employees. As with many credit unions of the era, it has humble beginnings and is built on the foundation of personal financial support for each member. Saginaw is the largest county in the Great Lakes Bay Region of Michigan, (www.gogreat.com) which serves as a hub for a diverse array of arts, industry, culture, education and healthcare. Geographically, the region is less than 2 hours north of Detroit/Ann Arbor/Lansing and less than 3 hours from the Mighty Mackinaw Bridge. Recreational choices include everything outdoors (boating, hiking, skiing), minor league sports and the performing arts, including two symphony orchestras. There are five universities, including a medical school, and two community colleges in the region. The business community is diverse ranging from thriving entrepreneurs to Fortune 500 manufacturing.
