Chief Financial Officer

Position Summary
United Heritage Credit Union is in search of a Chief Financial Officer to join their executive team. Reporting to the CEO, this talented individual will have oversight of Finance, ALM & Capital Markets, Risk & Compliance, and Fraud & Collections. This position oversees and manages multiple departments and is responsible for determining long-term and short-term financial strategic objectives and goals for the credit union ensuring compliance within the accepted guidelines of the accounting principles and established legal, regulatory, and credit union guidelines. Responsible for budget planning, preparation, and administration processes to control operating expenses and achieve the credit union’s strategic objectives. A bachelor’s degree is required, 7-10 years of demonstrated accounting, auditing leadership experience, with a minimum of 5 years of management experience.

United Heritage Credit Union opened its doors in 1957 as Military Federal Credit Union, offering military personnel savings and loan services. In 1969, their name changed to Bergstrom Federal Credit Union, and they expanded their service offerings and increased their overall membership base. By 1993, the Credit Union was given the opportunity to expand their membership base to include hospitals and hospital affiliates, along with select employer groups, allowing the credit union to grow into United Heritage Federal Credit Union. Changing from a federal charter to a state charter in 1997, they are now open to the Central Texas, Austin, and Tyler communities, enabling United Heritage to help more people than ever.
