Chief Executive Officer
UMassFive College Federal Credit Union is in search of a President/Chief Executive Officer to lead and provide overall direction of the Credit Union operations with the objective of ensuring financial stability commensurate with the best interests of the members. The incoming President/CEO will be responsible for establishing short-term and long-range objectives, plans, and policies subject to the approval of the Board of Directors and promote the Credit Union within the community. The ideal candidate must possess excellent writing, interpersonal, and presentation skills. A Bachelor’s degree plus ten to fifteen years’ experience in a leadership role within the financial services industry is required.
UMassFive College Federal Credit Union was founded in 1967 by a handful of employees at the flagship campus of the University of Massachusetts, located in Amherst, MA. In 1971, Amherst, Hampshire, Mount Holyoke, and Smith Colleges were incorporated into their field membership. Starting out as a one-room operation on the UMass Amherst campus, UMassFive has grown to a full-service financial institution with five physical branches, a full-service contact center, and a robust online presence. Today, still staying true to their mission of putting the interests of their membership first and their vision of maintaining their strong credit union heritage, UMassFive serves over 40 different sponsor organizations and has expanded to a membership of over 36,600 and more than $469 million in assets.
Hadley, a historic city in Massachusetts, dates back over 300 years to 1659. Offering many relics from the past such as colonial houses, cemeteries, and museums, Hadley is rich in history and retains the magnificent landscape of some of Pioneer Valley’s most beautiful farmland and scenic views. Hadley has grown residentially and commercially, offering major shopping along Route 9 to local communities. Hadley is surrounded by five local colleges (Amherst, Hampshire, Mt. Holyoke, and Smith Colleges as well as the University of Massachusetts at Amherst) and neighbors the culturally rich college towns of Amherst, Northampton, and South Hadley, offering excellent educational and cultural opportunities.
