Position Summary
Security First Credit Union is in need of a seasoned executive to lead the credit union in the role of President/Chief Executive Officer. This individual will be responsible for directing the overall operations of the credit union, with the objective of ensuring financial stability commensurate with the best interests of the members; and establishing short-term and long-range objectives, plans, and policies subject to the approval of the Board of Directors. The ideal candidate will be service oriented and a visionary, possess strong business acumen and the ability to prudently make decisions, have a thorough understanding of credit union operations and regulations, and be ready to represent the credit union within the community. At least ten years executive experience in a senior leadership role at a credit union or financial institution and a bachelor’s degree are required, MBA preferred.

Security First Credit Union, formerly known as Hidalgo Federal Credit Union, was founded in 1946 to financially benefit the employees of the Federal Government who resided in the Rio Grande Valley. 29 years later, they expanded their field of membership to serve state employees of Hidalgo and Starr Counties.
