General Counsel, Chief Risk Officer
ORNL Federal Credit Union is in search of a General Counsel, Chief Risk Officer to join their executive management team. This role will provide executive strategic oversite of the Legal & Risk functions of the credit union. As a member of the executive management team, this experienced candidate will act as lead on advising and providing strategic legal counsel to the Board of Directors, Officials, CEO, and management on legal and compliance issues, ensuring the Enterprise Risk Management program continues to comply with regulatory requirements and meets the risk tolerance of the credit union for relevant policies, procedures, laws, and regulations. Other responsibilities include serving as the liaison for regulatory exams. A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school is required, must be licensed with the State Bar of Tennessee or another state and willing to pass the Tennessee bar within a pre-negotiated time frame; with 8 – 10 years of related experience in legal and regulatory compliance within a credit union, bank, and/or governing regulatory agency is required.
