Chief Financial Officer
North Star Community Credit Union is in search of a Chief Financial Officer to join their Executive Leadership Team. This position will report to the CEO. Responsibilities include directing the activities of accounting, risk, compliance, and financial forecasting to ensure accurate and complete financial records. This seasoned executive will be responsible, in accordance with the credit union’s policies and objectives, for monitoring the operating budget and risk through sound ALM practices. Assisting the CEO in preparing short- and long-term goals, developing enhancements to products, pricing, and processes, and monitoring trends in operations for cost efficiencies to meet North Star’s operational and financial needs. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with ten years’ experience in a financial institution is required.
North Star Community Credit Union was founded in December 1940 as Benson County Cooperative Credit Union. The credit union has steadily grown its membership over the last 81 years to over 20,000 members, $372 million in assets and currently has 12 retail branches located throughout Central and Eastern ND. Maddock North Dakota, is situated in Central ND with easy access to both North Dakota’s rural beauty and urban centers such as Fargo, Grand Forks, Minot and Bismarck. The successful candidate will be able to office in our Maddock, Devils Lake, Rugby or Minot Markets.
