Vice President of Finance and Accounting
MidUSA Credit Union is searching for an experienced finance executive to join their team as Vice President of Accounting and Finance. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is responsible for the daily oversight of the credit union’s accounting and financial functions and for significant contributions to the formulation, implementation, and administration of corporate-wide policies and business goals. Other duties include managing the credit union’s finances, including investments and securities, performing accounting and financial analyses, preparing and compiling budgets and financial reports, establishing and maintaining internal accounting controls, and overseeing the preparation and submission of government and regulatory forms and payments. This position manages the credit union’s insurance coverage and liquid assets, leads portfolio management, oversees borrowing activities, establishes and maintains relationships with lenders, and ensures all subordinate areas of responsibility support credit union policies, programs, and goals. A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required. CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred. Seven to ten years of related progressive experience with significant supervisory experience required.
Founded in 1934 by 50 Armco Steel employees, MidUSA Credit Union continued to add members, enlist organizations, and grow in size and stability.
