President/Chief Executive Officer
Mazuma Credit Union is in need of a strategic executive to lead the credit union in the role of President/Chief Executive Officer. Collaborating with the Board of Directors, this executive will be responsible for achieving the overall goals and objectives included in the strategic plan, maintaining the credit union’s financial health and stability, and ensuring conformance with all applicable State and Federal laws. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership and motivational skills, be a team builder, and lead organizational change while building consensus. A Bachelors degree, preferably in Business Administration or related field is required, MBA preferred. A minimum of ten years executive experience within the credit union field or banking industry.
Mazuma Credit Union, has been a Kansas City staple for 70 years. Since their humble start in 1948 as The Kansas City National Federation of Federal Employees Credit Union, Mazuma’s assets have grown to over $660 million and the credit union serves a membership of more than 64,000 members. On their 50th anniversary, the credit union changed their name to Mazuma Credit Union and continues the tradition of giving back by taking an active role in community development, financial education, and the arts. The credit union’s purpose has been simple, its all about making members happy, and making Kansas City a better place to live, work, and bank.
