Position Summary

Instep Credit Union is seeking an experienced individual to join the credit union in the role of Chief Financial Officer.  Working closely with the CEO, this individual will be responsible for the financial well-being of the credit union, as well as oversight of branches, and annual audits. The position is responsible for achieving the financial goals and objectives included in the strategic plan, maintaining the credit union’s financial health and well-being, and ensuring conformance with all applicable State and Federal laws The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership and motivational skills, be a team builder, and lead organizational change while building consensus. A Bachelors degree is required. A minimum of ten years of executive experience within the credit union field or retail banking industry.

Instep Credit Union began its life as NAS CU, operating out of an office on the New Orleans Lakefront, in 1957 Nas CU moved with the base to Belle Chasse where it operated for one hour a day on the first floor of a Navy Hangar.
