Position Summary
GFA Federal Credit Union is seeking an accomplished executive to fill the role of Chief Operating Officer. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will drive operational excellence, strategic vision, and execution. Responsibilities include overseeing all retail deposit and loan functions including consumer and mortgage lending, loan servicing, wealth management, a full-service call center, and community outreach efforts. Excellent operational and regulatory knowledge and application of these areas is required. Collaborating with the executive team and business units, this position will develop, lead, motivate, and inspire a culture that drives results and continuous improvement, as well as contribute to developing and executing strategic priorities. The ideal candidate will exhibit excellent skills to motivate, empower, and support others. The ideal candidate will be a strong manager and should be able to support and lead a team. A minimum of seven to ten years executive experience in the financial services industry and Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred.

Gardner, Massachusetts, established in 1785, is a quiet city located 60 miles northwest of Boston and the home of GFA FCU’s recently expanded 26,000 square foot headquarters.
