President/Chief Executive Officer
GFA Federal Credit Union is seeking a talented executive to fill the role of President/Chief Executive Officer, as the incumbent President/CEO will retire in the Spring of 2021. Working with the Board of the Directors, the CEO will be responsible for establishing strategic initiatives, executing approved policies, and promoting the credit union’s mission and vision. The CEO will direct all aspects of operations to ensure a strong capital base, efficient delivery of services to members, and equitable treatment and development of staff. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader and team builder with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. A minimum of ten years executive experience in the financial services industry and Bachelor’s degree required.
GFA Federal Credit Union was created in 1938 by 20 founding fathers who pooled together $755. Today, this full-service credit union is headquartered in Gardner and has ten branches, seven in Massachusetts and three in New Hampshire.
