Position Summary
Financial Plus Credit Union is in need of a strategic executive to lead the credit union in the role of President/Chief Executive Officer. Collaborating with the Board of Directors, this executive will be responsible for establishing major goals and objectives for the credit union. The ideal candidate will provide leadership, direction, and guidance of credit union activities in achieving corporate-wide goals and strategic objectives. This role will actively define and execute the company’s culture mission of SPARK! (Sincere, Proud, Attentive, Respectful, Knowledgeable, Ownership) service standards, as well as represent the credit union to regulatory agencies, trade associations, community and civic organizations, members, and other financial institutions. A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Management or Finance, or equivalent experience, along with seven to ten years of progressive credit union experience at a senior management level is required.

Community Profile
Flint lies on the Flint River in eastern Michigan, about 60 miles northwest of Detroit. Flint originated as a trading post and progressed to a fur-trading, lumbering, and agricultural center. Due to an abundance of timber, the Durant-Dort Carriage Company came to be and by 1900 more than 100,000 horse-drawn vehicles were produced annually. By the 1950’s General Motors had the largest single manufacturing complex in Flint and the city’s growth paralleled the success of the automotive industry.
