Position Summary
Down East Credit Union has an outstanding opportunity for a talented, strategic individual to help lead the credit union in the role of the Chief Financial Officer. As a key member of the senior leadership team, this executive will act as a business partner to the CEO in driving strategy, managing financial performance, improving operating efficiency, and for ensuring conformance with all applicable State and Federal laws. Responsibilities include streamlining and managing all practices and activities in the finance and accounting functions and procedures, managing the investment portfolio, as well as budgeting and forecasting for the organization. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership and motivational skills, be a team builder, and an innovative thinker. This individual will have exceptional financial knowledge with a proven track record of success in change management. A minimum of five to seven years’ experience at an executive or senior management level within a financial institution and a Bachelor’s degree is required, CPA preferred.
