Senior Vice President, Risk Management
Dade County Federal Credit Union is searching for a detail oriented financial services executive to fill the role of Senior Vice President, Risk Management. This executive will be responsible for evaluating strategies and operational processes, ensuring that oversight and management objectives are being met in line with regulatory guidance. Other responsibilities include overseeing various departments and personnel, monitoring risk exposures, managing overall risk for the credit union, and working with departments to develop and communicate policies and programs which are directed at controlling risk throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills. A college degree in Accounting, Finance or related business field is required, along with five to ten years of similar or related experience and a high degree of business acumen. Credit union or financial services experience is preferred.
Established in 1939, a group of ten Dade County employees had a dream to help others financially so they pooled together $135 in an old cigar box, signed a certificate of origination, and formed the Dade County Employees Credit Union. In 1994, the credit union became federally chartered and changed the name to Dade County Federal Credit Union and has grown to over $754 million in assets. Today, the credit union offers many products and services with eleven convenient locations to serve its members.
