Like Abraham Lincoln, Coloramo Federal Credit Union (CFCU), was “born in a log cabin” – founded in June 1953 by a group of Department of Energy employees working in the Atomic Energy Commission Compound in Grand Junction, Colorado. The unique name is an acronym for Colorado Raw Materials Office – perfect to describe the community of charter members. CFCU has come a long way since those log cabin days! In 2002, the credit union converted to a Community Charter and today serves all of Mesa, Delta, Montrose, Gunnison, Ouray, Garfield, Rio Blanco, and Moffat County residents. Coloramo FCU serves over 10,000 members with three Grand Valley locations and has grown to more than $120 Million in asset size. The credit union’s mission is to build lifelong member relationships based on quality service, integrity, solid financial management and education. To learn more, visit https://www.coloramo.org/.
Grand Junction, Colorado is the largest city on Colorado’s Western Slope and serves as a major population center between Denver, Colorado and Salt Lake City, Utah. Grand Junction is home to Colorado Mesa University (founded in 1925 and serving over 11,000 students). The city also serves as the primary health care hub in our region. The level of medical and health services is superb, and uncommon to a community of this size. It’s easy to enjoy the amenities of the region without the traffic congestion and crowds often associated with larger population areas. The city is surrounded by the Grand Mesa to the east, the Colorado National Monument to the west, an agricultural oasis to the south, and the Bookcliffs to the north. The Colorado River flows from the Rocky Mountains, through the city and into Utah, offering mild to wild river raft rides. Outdoor adventures are exhilarating here – and the setting beckons enthusiasts to partake! The quaint downtown area is filled with art galleries, clothing boutiques, antique shops and a variety of restaurants with Main Street featuring one of the nation’s largest outdoor sculpture collections. Grand Junction boasts a milder winter climate than the rest of Colorado, making it a great location to live, work and raise a family.
An excellent competitive compensation package will be offered to the selected candidate.
