Chief Lending Officer
America’s Christian Credit Union is looking for an innovative and visionary Lending executive to join their team as Chief Lending Officer. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will oversee the following areas such as ministry, mortgage, consumer, and commercial lending. Other responsibilities include maintaining a sound loan portfolio while staying up to date on industry trends on related compliance and regulatory matters. The incumbent will serve as a key leader in the strategic planning process for the credit union while contributing to the growth strategies as it pertains to the credit union’s lending products and services to meet the members needs. The CLO will also ensure efficiency in the following areas such as origination, processing, underwriting and closing. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of lending experience in a financial organization and five years in a senior management role. Leading others within real estate or consumer lending institutions is also required. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with ministry, nonprofit/for profit lending as well as consumer lending. Strong relationship and leadership skills are critical.
America’s Christian Credit Union originated in 1958 when five men embarked on a mission to serve the financial needs of approximately 500 Nazarene ministers within the state of California. They pooled $135 and together organized a state-chartered credit union, which was originally called Nazarene Ministers’ Credit Union. For over 60 years , the credit union has been providing financial services to Christian individuals and ministries with the aim of supporting: church expansion, ministry building, Christian schools, lending to businesses, and supporting individuals & families providing financial services including deposit accounts, credit and debit cards, and low-rate lending services.
