Position Summary
Air Force Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced individual to join its team as Director of Internal Audit. Reporting to the Supervisory Committee, this position will be responsible for ensuring optimum efficiency and effectiveness of the internal audit function, designing, developing, and implementing internal auditing policies and procedures on a day-to-day basis and ensuring compliance and strict auditing guidelines imposed by the NCUA and other regulatory agencies are followed. The Director of Internal Audit will guide the Board of Directors, Supervisory Committee, and Management in the effective discharge of their responsibilities by providing analysis of and recommendations for policies and procedures, internal controls, and reporting practices. A Bachelor’s degree and CIA, CPA or CFE certification are required, as well as a minimum of 5 years of audit experience within a financial institution.
