Chief Collections Officer

Position Summary
Located in the Northeast, a large financial institution is in search of a Chief Collections Officer to strategically lead a state of the art Collections Department. Responsibilities will include taking a proactive approach to collections by analyzing underwriting criteria to reduce delinquency trends, identifying historical patterns in the portfolio, and forecasting scenarios to establish strategic benchmarks for the department. This individual will lead a team that capitalizes on technology to reduce delinquency and charge-off ratios, and will provide statistical data to senior management on collections activities to help establish strategic direction for the organization. Other areas of focus will include strengthening the organization’s collections policies and methods, maintaining the departmental budget and analytically assessing the direction of the portfolio. Successful candidate will have strong analytical skills and proven experience in establishing strategic direction, managing a robust collections operation and implementing innovative and creative strategies to reduce delinquency.

Compensation
A compensation package consisting of base salary, incentive and benefits will be offered to the selected candidate.

Degree Required
A minimum of five years of collections management experience leading a diverse collections department and Bachelor’s degree is required. An understanding of generally accepted accounting principles is a plus.
